September 10th, 2014 – CCPA Wind Ensemble @ Ganz Hall (Chicago) (7:30pm) – FREE

The Chicago College of Performing Arts Wind Ensemble and soprano Teaira Burge will be giving the premiere of The Instruction of Ptah-Hotep under the baton of Stephen Squires. Click for details.

September 28th, 2014 – Washington Square Winds @ Spectrum (New York) (5pm)

WSQ will be giving the East Coast premiere of Variations with the composer in attendance. What does it sound like? Why, take a listen here! Venue details are here.

November 5th, 2014 – Joy Doran @ Illinois Wesleyan University 

Faculty pianist Joy Doran will be performing my Piano Sonata (in only its second performance) at my alma mater, Illinois Wesleyan University. It’s an honor to return.

February 22nd, 2015 – International Chamber Artists @ St. Gregory the Great (Chicago) (4pm)

ICA entrusted me with their first major commission for a huge work for soprano and chamber ensemble on the writings of Susan Licciardi. If You Travel Far Enough is twelve songs on landscapes and locales of the Midwest. My work will be paired up with Paul Schoenfield’s Café Music and Beethoven’s Op. 95 String Quartet. Details.

March 9th, 2015 – International Chamber Artists on Live from WFMT 98.7FM (or (8-10pm)

ICA will perform If You Travel Far Enough on the radio. The broadcast will be from 8-10pm. Also in that time frame – Beethoven, Cooke, Poulenc, and Schoenfield. It will be a great program! Details.

May 2nd and 3rd, 2015 – Wicker Park Choral Singers

My dear friends and frequent collaborators WPCS will be performing a short commissioned work of mine called Cast Out of Iron on a heartfelt programme, featuring the world premiere of a work setting Scott Simon of NPR’s tweets of his mother’s final moments.
