In under two weeks, my friends, I will be visiting New York City for the first time ever. This mild-mannered Midwesterner will soon be gaping at the sights!
The occasion is the performance of my live film score by Access Contemporary Music on their New York tour. They are taking music written by a mob of Chicagoans to the Big Apple on June 7th-8th at the Anthology Film Archives.
This will be my first time in the Big Apple, and I’ll be staying in the East Village. Give me some hints of great places to see or eat! I’m excited to compare the F Train to my daily Red Line commute.
Also, if you, too, are a Midwesterner but won’t be in New York to see the show, you can see a video of an old performance. If you will be in New York, don’t click, spoilers!
